Diana Carpenter
Diana works part-time as a business consultant. She has an MBA from the University of Chicago as well as a BA in developmental psychology from Harvard. She met Annette through La Leche League and attended the "Mom & Me" Preschool for two years. Diana and her children have attended Create-A-Camp for six years, and Diana has been co-director for five years. Diana lives in Lincolnshire, Illinois with her husband Henry, and her two children, Alex and Vincent.
When Annette proposed the home-based preschool and summer camp ideas, Diana quickly recognized the opportunities offered by such arrangements. She understood the relatively short time she would be able to be with her children, before they matured to the point of preferring their peers to Mom and Dad. She appreciated the flexibility of the scheduling arrangements. A bonus was the fact that everyone, including the parents, has a lot of fun at these gatherings!
Diana's compulsion to improve the organization and operations of whatever group she's involved with, led to her taking on the role of co-director of Create-A-Camp, focusing on finances, planning, and communications. She has been very happy to take advantage of Annette's vision and creativity.
